All going well with me here in Canada, I've been training in Nakiska, Alberta and Panorama, BC. I also did some races at Panorama which went pretty well. In the slalom I finished 4th and skied really well on the 2nd run. In the giant slalom I had a great 1st run and was winning the race but unfortunately I made a big mistake on the 2nd run and lost a lot of time eventually finishing 7th. However, it was really encouraging for me to ski such a good 1st run against all of the world cup team from Canada.
Now I'm in Lake Louise getting ready for the downhill, where I will do the three training runs then make a decision whether to race or do some more slalom training to prepare for the Beaver Creek combined and slalom runs.
Snowing quite a lot here in Lake Louise so great for the early season. Hopefully get a bit of time for some powder skiing.
