Hello!

I'm on my way to Argentina, where I will spend the next 3 weeks or so for the birth of my 1st child. Exciting stuff!!! Its quite hard for me to get my head around at the moment because I haven't been around for the last 4 Months of the pregnancy so I'm will get everything at once.

My races in Kreischberg went OK, but not exactly straight forward. After the slalom in Are (Sweden) my serviceman changed the screws in my binding and when he screwed them on again he forgot to put some raiser plates under 1 of the bindings and I was standing at different angles on my right and left ski, which I noticed about 2minutes before starting the 1st run. There was a 6mm difference, it doesn't sound much but it has a huge effect on how the ski reacts.

So I set off on my first run and managed to make the finish at least skiing a very reasonable time, we got it sorted out for the second run and I skied really well eventually finishing 7th. On the 2nd day I also finished 7th but this time I skied a good first run then struggled in the ruts on the second run.

We then headed over to the patch of snow in Garmisch where they amazingly managed to hold a World Cup race. The snow held surprisingly well but the course was a really tough set I and I was caught out by the gates on the top section and it took me a lot of gates to find my rhythm and get going again.

So that’s it up to now the next skiing for me should be around the time of the Ski Challenge in a few weeks time in Sauze d’Oulx (Italy) which I'm sure I'll have to be in good form for as they'll all be out to beat me!

Take care

Noelie
