I hope you are all enjoying the start of Summer and are not getting too sunburnt!
Right now I'm writing to you from Biarritz (France) in the middle of our fitness training camp which has been made up mostly of biking and other sports like tennis and surfing which has been loads of fun. Its is such an ideal place for bike training here. Yesterday we drove to the Pyrenees to bike up one of the mountains they use in the Tour de France which was something else! Really tough, we climbed 1450 vertical metres in 20km, pretty steep by any standards I would say. We've got a couple more days of this before heading home, so I'll be making the most of the sunshine.
I've just finalised my trip to South America, I'll be leaving on the 27th of June and I am very excited to see my rapidly growing daughter Maria Guadalupe. So it will be a short Summer for me this year because they are already skiing down in Argentina.
As I mentioned previously I have changed ski companies and I'm now racing with Elan which I am happy about and looking forward to getting on them down in South America.
